As a cosmetologist, you can utilize your creativity daily. You can create unique color combinations for your clients, experiment with new haircutting techniques, play around with different styles, and much more! Part of being in the beauty industry is keeping up with the latest trends. You never know what Instagram or TikTok look clients will desire next, so you will always be learning and growing!

At Empire Hair Institute, students will receive training in the art of cosmetology.

Program Length:
1000 Clock Hours to be completed in not less than 25 weeks, no more than  37 weeks. Full time students with 32 hours a week completion is 31.25 weeks.

Instructional Method:
Lectures, demonstrations, and student participation are the primary teaching methods. Students demonstrate their competency in theory and practice with mannequin repetitions and clinic activities.

Written & Practical

Class attendance and participation are mandatory. Students will demonstrate their competency in theory and practice through mannequin repetitions and clinic activities. Instructions will be supplemented with visual aids, student presentation and other techniques. Although instructions and assignments may vary based on program requirements, students must maintain a theory grade average of 70% and pass a final written and practical exam prior to graduation. Numerical grades are considered according to the following grade scale:

100-90

Excellent

89-80

Very Good

79-70

Satisfactory

69-Below
