700 hours: Covers anatomy, physiology, chemistry, electricity, sanitation, first aid, state laws, and disorders of the hair, skin, and nails. Includes practical training in haircutting, hairstyling, scalp treatments, color, chemical textures, extensions, facials, waxing, makeup, manicures, pedicures, artificial nails, and salon operations.
300 hours: Focus on specialty services such as lash extensions, advanced haircare, and chemical techniques.

Written & Practical
Class attendance and participation are mandatory. Students will demonstrate their competency in theory and practice through mannequin repetitions and clinic activities. Instructions will be supplemented with visual aids, student presentation and other techniques. Although instructions and assignments may vary based on program requirements, students must maintain a theory grade average of 70% and pass a final written and practical exam prior to graduation. Numerical grades are considered according to the following grade scale:
