Empire Hair Institute's Mission
Our mission is simple:
To train, empower, and launch the next generation of beauty and barber professionals with confidence, skill, and purpose.
We provide a high-quality, hands-on education that blends the history and classic foundations of cosmetology, barbering, and esthetics with the latest trends, techniques, and real-world client practices. Our students learn to work with all hair types, styles, and client preferences so they can thrive in any professional setting.
We believe in developing the whole professional, not just technical skills. Our programs focus on building confidence, strong customer-service abilities, communication, professionalism, and the essential business knowledge needed to succeed in today’s beauty industry. Students also receive training in Texas laws, sanitation, safety requirements, and state licensure preparation to ensure they are fully ready for their licensing exam.
Through supervised practice on the clinic floor, portfolio development, and ongoing career guidance, we equip every student with the tools they need to step into the workforce ready to shine.
At Empire Hair Institute, we turn passion into profession and talent into a lifelong career.

Whether you're a high school student eager to jumpstart your career, a non-traditional student exploring new opportunities, someone seeking greater income and flexibility, or a retired employee seeking a low-stress second income, Empire Hair Institute is the perfect place to help achieve your dreams. The Barbering and Beauty Industry in this generation is taking off and proving extremely profitable for the students who pursue it. For us here at Empire Hair Institute, we believe that the future is already here.
Career Opportunities
The beauty and barbering industry offers a unique combination of creativity, career stability, and entrepreneurial opportunity. Licensed professionals can pursue careers in salons, barbershops, spas, skincare clinics, wellness centers, retail environments, and educational settings, while many choose to become independent contractors, rent salon suites, provide mobile services, or eventually open their own businesses.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), there were approximately 651,200 jobs in barbering, hairstyling, and cosmetology occupations in 2024, including approximately 575,200 hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists and 76,000 barbers. Employment in these occupations is projected to grow 5% from 2024 to 2034, creating an estimated 84,200 job openings annually.
The skincare industry also continues to grow. The BLS reported approximately 97,400 skincare specialist jobs in 2024, with projected employment growth of 7% from 2024 to 2034 and approximately 14,500 job openings per year.
The nail industry offers additional opportunities for licensed professionals. According to the BLS, employment of manicurists and pedicurists is projected to grow 7% from 2024 to 2034, with approximately 24,800 job openings annually over the decade.
While the BLS does not separately track eyelash extension specialists or hair extension specialists as individual occupations, these services continue to be among the fastest-growing specialty services within the beauty industry. Many licensed cosmetologists and estheticians expand their earning potential by offering lash extensions, hair extensions, specialty color services, texture services, and other advanced beauty treatments as part of their professional service offerings.
Because most beauty and barbering careers require state licensure, students need more than talent and creativity, they need quality education, hands-on training, practical experience, and a strong understanding of safety, sanitation, and industry regulations.
