Empire Hair Institute’s 320-Hour Eyelash Technician Program is designed to launch your lash career with confidence and skill. This comprehensive course combines expert-led theory with hands-on training, guiding students through the art and science of lash application, from classic to hybrid to volume extensions, as well as lash lifts and tints. You’ll master client consultation, sanitation, eye health, and precise lash isolation and placement. With structured lessons, live demos, quizzes, and real model practice, you’ll graduate fully prepared to earn your license and thrive in the fast-growing lash industry.
Curriculum Breakdown
160 Hours – Theory and Core Concepts
Students receive in-depth instruction on the anatomy and physiology of the eye area, lash growth cycles, safety and sanitation protocols, client consultation and care, infection control, allergic reactions, lash adhesive chemistry, lash product knowledge, Texas licensing laws and regulations, professional ethics, and essential business practices such as scheduling, marketing, and client management. Special focus is placed on lash isolation, lash mapping, and understanding contraindications for safe and effective service.
160 Hours – Hands-On Training and Advanced Application
This portion emphasizes practical skill-building in classic, hybrid, and volume lash extension techniques, as well as lash lifts and tints. Students practice on mannequins and live models under instructor supervision to refine lash placement, styling, fills, removals, and aftercare. Training also includes real-world simulations, retail sales techniques, and strategies for client retention and building a successful lash business.
Graduates of this program will be fully prepared to take the Texas state licensing exam for Eyelash Extension Specialists. Once licensed, they’ll be qualified to work in salons, lash studios, med-spas, or launch their own independent business, offering in-demand services in a fast-growing beauty field.

Written & Practical
Class attendance and participation are mandatory. Students will demonstrate their competency in theory and practice through mannequin repetitions and clinic activities. Instructions will be supplemented with visual aids, student presentation and other techniques. Although instructions and assignments may vary based on program requirements, students must maintain a theory grade average of 70% and pass a final written and practical exam prior to graduation. Numerical grades are considered according to the following grade scale:
