The esthetician program of 750 hours over a period of 19 weeks for full time and about 47 weeks for part-time. The program includes: theory, practice and clinal study of skin care. Students will learn how to provide a complte "spa experience" in skin care, makeup, wax techniques and other treatments. Included in the curriculum are a series of lessons, quizzes, a mid-term a final exam, vuisual demonstrations, and required skills that can be practiced in lab and clinical settings. Graduates who complete this program will be prepared to take the reqired state eaminations to become licensed estheticians. Once licensed, graduates will be eligible to work in salons and spas that offer full-service skin care treatments, as well as some medical establishments.

225 Hours - Facial Treatment, cleansing, masking, therapy
90 Hours - Anatomy and Physiology
75 Hours - Electricity, machines and related equipment
75 Hours - Makeup
50 Hours - Orientation, rules and laws
50 Hours - Chemistry
50 Hours - Care of Client
40 Hours - Sanitation, safety and first aid
35 Hours - Management
25 Hours - Superfluous hair removal
15 Hours - Aromatherapy
10 Hours - Nutrician
10 Hours - Color Psychology
This program's goal is to provide the student with the skills, imformation and training through thorough and reliable theoretical and practical instruction to successfully complete the program and pass the licensed exam required by the state of Texas, and to educate the student in developing professional attitudes and habits necessary for initial employement and career advancement.

Written & Practical
Class attendance and participation are mandatory. Students will demonstrate their competency in theory and practice through mannequin repetitions and clinic activities. Instructions will be supplemented with visual aids, student presentation and other techniques. Although instructions and assignments may vary based on program requirements, students must maintain a theory grade average of 70% and pass a final written and practical exam prior to graduation. Numerical grades are considered according to the following grade scale:
